About Kelley

Hey there, I’m Kelley, and I used to be your average American girl. From good grades to a successful career in advertising, I always did what was expected of me, never straying from the path. But at the age of 24, I went rogue. I quit my job, sold all my belongings minus what I could fit in a backpack, and I spent the next few months traveling around South America as a solo female. Since then, I’ve been to 20 countries, hiked to 16,000 feet, surfed off Easter Island, hung out with gorillas in the Ugandan jungle, had a beer in a secret spy station, helicoptered over Victoria Falls, swam with penguins, bungee jumped, paraglided, skydived, drank homemade vodka in the back of a Georgian taxi, and met countless exceptional human beings.

These days, I can plan an international trip without a hitch. But when I first started traveling, it wasn’t so easy. To start, the planning phase as an inexperienced traveler was completely overwhelming. I looked for a travel agent, but between their exorbitant fees, inexperience with backpackers, and lack of customization, it was a no go. So I chose to figure it out on my own, and while I got through it and have many fond memories, it was also the scariest thing I’d ever done. Because without any guidance, I made a LOT of mistakes.

Though I’ve grown since then, I know that this barrier is still there for new travelers. That’s why I’d like to help. I’ve always been passionate about proving to people that they are capable of seeing the world and experiencing everything they’ve ever wanted. So, whenever you’re ready, let me help you go rogue.
